When we work together, anything is possible.
We’re back, y’all! After two or so years of remote programming, Come Alive Outside came out of the gate strong in 2022 with original programming and events. This year, we blossomed. Our three-person staff created and partnered* on new events like Potterpalooza, Area 802 and the Whoopie Pie Festival, while maintaining crowd favorites like our Jedi Trails, the Green Street Challenge and the Leaf Peeping Society.
These free events reached thousands of people and they were only a portion of what we do! Come Alive Outside distributed over 22,000 outdoor passports to kids and adults in Rutland and Brattleboro, VT, Worcester, MA, and Hasting and Prince Edwards Counties, Ontario! These passports were brimming with fun activities for all. Our new Mile-A-Day app introduced a novel way to track miles, see the leading teams and engage with other walkers during our challenges. With support from Community Health, we rolled-out our revamped NatureRx program providing personalized coaching and weekly meetups to folks who could benefit from some 1:1 support in connecting with the outdoors in ways that meet them where they are at.
You may have also seen us at one of the many community events this year, handing out swag and good vibes. We also made our national television debut on The Weather Channel and added three new members to our board. It’s been a wonderful, incredibly busy year, and we look forward to 2023.

The Power of Partnership and How We Will Use These Funds:
Collective impact is at the core of our success here at Come Alive Outside and we are so grateful to the 300 partners, sponsors, and individual donors who share our beliefs around the impact of connecting with nature.
We have no intention of slowing down. In fact, as we look at 2023 we plan to:
- Deepen our impact and reach in the communities we serve
- Roll out our new Outdoor Passport mobile application
- Continue to learn and listen to our partners and participants and data to ensure we are connecting folks to nature in inclusive, meaningful, and fun ways
Come Alive Outside is 501c3 nonprofit founded in 2014 that works closely with partners in healthcare, public health, outdoor recreation and the landscaping profession to connect communities to the health and wellness benefits of the outdoors.
